Kelvin Grove art gallery & museum
Explore their 22 galleries and discover everything from art to animals, Ancient Egypt to Charles Rennie Mackintosh and so much more. They also have a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and displays.
Glasgow Cathedral
The area where the Cathedral is sited has a number of historic buildings nearby plus the Necropolis. So a good area to spend half a day visiting.
Necropolis Glasgow
Some may say a rather dark thing to visit a cemetery. But the Necropolis is worth a visit even if only for the views over the city but there a number of interesting structures to see as you walk round.

The Lighthouse Glasgow
Formerly housing The Glasgow Herald, The Lighthouse was the first public commission completed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and is the perfect place to begin a Mackintosh tour of Glasgow.

The street murals are helping to rejuvenate streets and revitalise buildings and vacant sites that look a bit tired. Reincarnating them as beautiful pieces of public street art. The first art work was produced in 2008 and this portfolio of completed works has expanded since.
